How Big is Big?

This is something I felt the need to address in my blog after receiving a number of emails criticizing the size of the model used in the Damn You Alexis A/W campaign. The model used for my campaign was from a reputable, fabulous and iconic plus size agency. Penelope is a gorgeous and healthy size 14 and was one of the first Australian PLUS SIZE models to walk on the runway overseas. There is a huge difference of opinion amongst my customers, between those that want to see the clothing on a size 22 and those that want to see the clothing in an aspirational size.
I plan on mixing it up every season and I have MANY models (sizes 14-20) in line for upcoming campaigns. I’ve done 1 shoot guys! There’s more to come.

Keep doing what your doing. You are an inspiration to us all. I think the shoot is FAB and you have nothing to appologise for. People will always have there own opinions just don't let it get you down, I think your designs are amazing and am saving up to purchase a few myself :o)

I don't want to criticize your choice if model however I am deeply saddened that size 14 is considered plus size, we are far too harsh on ourselves. 14 is not plus sized at all. What a sad society.

Actually the model used is a 12 on top, 14 on bottom.
