Breakfast Club

Much like Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson and Molly Ringwald, I was holed up in a high school classroom for the best part of yesterday (Saturday); unlike Ms. Ringwald there was no need to impress the group with the lipstick trick – but I so could have done it. I was in fact learning “How to Start Your Own Fashion Label”. What an appropriate title.
On a blazing 35 degree day, (shout out to my friends who so kindly texted me weather updates from the beach) I was furiously writing notes in a mad dash to learn in 8 hours what most people spend 4 years at Uni studying. Impatient? Me? On the plus side I’m feeling very good about Damn You Alexis. I feel prepared. Confident. I’ve bought my website domain. I’ve registered my company. I know what tax is … yes that was an actual question. So the business side is sorted, but now the hard part … the manufacturing. Onshore or offshore or a mix of both? So you know what I’ll be doing all next week? Cold calling. A lot. Patternmakers, cutters, makers be very afraid. Although, come Saturday, I’ll be at the beach.
